The five thinais are Kurinji, Mullai, Marutham, Palai and Neithal.

Their God is Thirumal. The People are Idaiyar, Idaichiyar, Aayar, Aaichiyar. Their Occupation is Cattle rearing, Gathering fruits, Sowing Millets. And their animal is  Bear.
